Since 2010, a group of innovative young accountants and business practitioners started providing business support services to SMEs and individuals on pro-bono basis. In 2015, a private limited liability company was set up to officially provide commercial services to entities of different sizes.

Philosophy
The crafter of Oankem Business Lab as a concept had in mind an identified gap between academic output and the professional requirement of business and accounting practice especially in a third world where proficiency was only determined by academic credentials. In the 2000s business owners complained of the quality of output from our universities. In light of that, the philosophy was to marry academic rigor and professional proficiency in the training and retraining of finance and business management professionals.
